The Techs of Tomorrow returns for a second edition, this time as a virtual event! Following the success of our on-campus expo, Texas State Technical College (TSTC) and Unmudl are excited to bring you this online experience.
The virtual event is designed to educate and inspire the public about the growing opportunities in thriving technical sectors. Join us from anywhere to discover how you can be part of the next generation of skilled technicians.
Technician jobs are currently at the forefront of a major hiring boom being felt across multiple industries. Driven by advancements in automation technology, this shift is reshaping sectors such as manufacturing, aviation, healthcare, energy, and more. With the soaring demand for skilled hands-on technicians, there's a lot of high-paying job opportunities available, making it an opportune time to enter into these industries.
Whether you want to work on machinery, help fix aircraft, or be on the cutting edge of solar power, this virtual event will show you how to enter these lucrative industries.
Local employers will be virtually present, showcasing job opportunities in industries like energy, machinery, aviation, healthcare, and more.
The event will also feature Employer Panelists from Amazon, Hill's Pet and Siemens Healthineers who will be answering your questions regarding the booming industry trends.
Technician jobs are among the fastest growing jobs in the country and are a great way to “future proof” your career so your job doesn’t get replaced by artificial intelligence. And the pay? Extremely competitive with salaries in popular industries ranging from $55,000 to $80,000.
Discover how the Unmudl Skills-to-Jobs (S2J) pathway can help you break into these industries in as little as 10 weeks. Even if you have little to no experience, we can help.
An S2J (skills to jobs) guide is an Unmudl employee dedicated to your success. They will answer any questions you have and help you along the way as you finish your course. When it comes to interview they will also be there to provide helpful resources to give you the best chance of securing a job.
The Mechatronics for Equipment Maintenance Level II coursework is aligned with the MT2 role at Amazon and the Principles of Control Systems is aligned with a Controls Technician role. However, a job is not guaranteed.
Depending on which course you choose you should plan on studying the course material 8-10 hours a week in order to complete the courses in 10 to 16 weeks.
