July 2025 Techs of Tomorrow

Unmudl, an Austin-based company founded in 2018, partners with community colleges and employers to help equip learners with skills so they can get hired into hands-on industries and technician jobs.

Unmudl is a partnership started by CNM, four other community colleges and the National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development. It offers both online, and in-person learning experience to help students learn skilled jobs while they work.

CNM and Unmudl hosted a “Technicians of Tomorrow Expo” on Friday in the hopes of persuading more people to take a serious interest in the manufacturing sector. The event, at CNM’s Advanced Technology Center, included a panel of speakers from Intel, Maxeon Solar Technologies, Amazon and General Mills who touched on everything from challenges in finding workers to the skills needed to get a job in the field.
