Smart CNC Machinist: Virtual Lab is a 40- hour online, self-paced course, which a part of the Smart CNC Machinist skill path. This pathway gives you the applied skills needed to begin work in the in-demand field of machining. Smart CNC Machinist: Virtual Lab focuses on industrial safety; hydraulic and pneumatic systems; rigging; basic welding techniques; and maintenance and troubleshooting. In this course, you apply your knowledge to problem-solving and troubleshooting.
This course uses formal learning, videos, and hands-on virtual simulations. It is assessed by a final quiz on each individual module. Learners need to achieve 80% or higher on each final quiz to successfully complete the course and will have three attempts to pass each quiz. Learners can work at their own pace, and a learner who spends 10 hours a week on the course will complete the course in approximately 4 weeks.
