Course Details

Mechatronics and Robotics Maintenance is an online, self-paced course that requires approximately 80 hours to complete. This course gives a thorough overview of the fundamentals of mechatronics and is intended for learners with some experience who are interested in a career in an industrial and maintenance environment.

The course focuses on six key areas needed for equipment maintenance: fundamental skills, electrical systems, mechanical systems, fluid systems, industrial systems, and communication. After completing this course, learners will be prepared with the fundamental knowledge and skills needed to maintain material handling equipment.

The course is aligned with SACA certification, and learners who successfully complete the course will have completed the coursework for four SACA microcredentials. The course does not provide SACA certification; learners who wish to become certified will need to complete a SACA exam for each microcredential.

  • Electrical Systems 1
  • Mechanical Power Systems 1
  • Pneumatic Systems 1
  • Variable Frequency Drives 1

Mechatronics and Robotics Maintenance uses content from videos, documents, and Amatrol. Learners can work at their own pace, and a learner who spends 8 hours a week will complete the course in approximately 10 weeks. Learners are assessed by a final quiz on each individual module. Learners need to achieve 80% or higher on each final quiz to successfully complete the course and will have three attempts to pass each quiz.
