Smart CNC Machinist

Smart CNC Machinist is a 40- hour online, self-paced course, which a part of the Smart CNC Machinist skill path. This pathway gives you the fundamental skills needed to begin work in the in-demand field of machining. Smart CNC Machinist focuses on industrial safety; machine processes, milling and turning, and piping; maintenance operations, mechanical systems; and hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

This course uses formal learning, videos, and hands-on virtual simulations. It is assessed by a final quiz on each individual module. Learners need to achieve 80% or higher on each final quiz to successfully complete the course and will have three attempts to pass each quiz. Learners can work at their own pace, and a learner who spends 10 hours a week on the course will complete the course in approximately 4 weeks.
