Overview
The Utility Operations & Maintenance Group leader is responsible for leading daily utility operations and maintenance activities, ensuring system reliability, safety, and efficiency. This role oversees supervisors and coordinates all ongoing work across the team to meet operational and organizational goals.
Role and Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise utility operations, including maintenance, repairs, and system performance
- Lead and support supervisors and team members to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule
- Plan, prioritize, and coordinate daily and long-term maintenance activities
- Monitor system performance and respond to operational issues or emergencies
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies
- Allocate resources, manpower, and equipment to meet operational demands
- Review and improve maintenance processes to enhance efficiency and reliability
- Track performance metrics, prepare reports, and support continuous improvement initiatives
- Coordinate with other departments, contractors, and stakeholders as needed
- Provide training, coaching, and performance management for supervisors and team members
- Coordinate with engineering group, field working group, stakeholders outside the company
