Accelerated Air Compressor Technician for Mechatronics Completers is an 18-hour accelerated course only available to successful completers of Mechatronics and Robotics Maintenance. This course gives Mechatronics completers the opportunity to get certification in the entire Air Compressor Technician skill path with only 18 hours of study. The Air Compressor Technician skill path introduces learners to core concepts of air compressor technology and prepares them for further steps in a career as an air compressor technician. 


The pathway is aligned with SACA certification, and learners who successfully complete the course will have completed coursework for the SACA micro-credentials

After This Course, You Will Be Able To
Define air compressor technology and understand the role of an air compressor technician. Explain essential safety procedures for the air compressor technician work environment. Describe strategies and procedures for troubleshooting. Explain the basic operation of Ethernet networking systems. Describe strategies for effective workplace communication. Describe fluid systems and their key components, including pneumatic systems, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Describe mechanical power system components and define friction, resistance, and efficiency. Describe basic electrical circuits, including schematics, switches, and power supplies. Define and describe how to measure or calculate voltage, current, resistance, and power.
