Course Details

This course is best suited for Associates who are interested in the Amazon RMEO operator role. No experience is required for this role; however, associates must be a blue badge at Amazon for one year to apply for RMEO positions.  


GEARS Pre-Apprenticeship Training is an 80-hour course that introduces learners with no previous experience to the field of mechatronics and robotics maintenance. This course blends online and in-person learning. It covers fundamental topics in advanced manufacturing including careers, problem-solving, electronics, electrical systems, hydraulics, PLC and CNC programming, critical thinking, and lean manufacturing.

 

The course includes online content that learners complete independently and in-person hours to review, expand, and ask questions about this content. The course is assessed on each learning module. Learners must achieve a score of 80% or higher in each final module quiz, and learners will have a maximum of three attempts to pass each quiz.
