This 40-hour, self-paced online course is the first course in the Instrumentation and Controls Technician Skill Path. Develop your skills with formal learning and hands-on virtual simulations. The skill path gives a strong foundation in technical skills, industrial communication networks, and leadership and communication and aligns with the coursework for multiple SACA micro-credentials.

This course focuses on control systems, including PLCs and smart factory systems.

What You'll Learn

1. Understand the role, function, and operation of sensor logic systems and programmable controller systems and be able to troubleshoot these systems. 2. Describe the function, operation, and programming of smart sensors. 3. Describe the set-up, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of smart factory systems.
