Air Compressor Technician: Course 2

Air Compressor Technician is a 60-hour online, self-paced pathway divided into three modules. This pathway introduces learners to core concepts of air compressor technology and prepares them for further steps in a career as an air compressor technician. Course 2 is approximately 20 hours and focuses on fluid systems and mechanical systems.

The pathway is aligned with SACA certification, and learners who successfully complete the pathway will have completed coursework for the SACA micro-credentials: 

• Pneumatic Troubleshooting 1
• Electrical Systems 1
• Motor Control Troubleshooting 1
• Electric Motor Control Troubleshooting 1

The pathway does not provide SACA certification; learners who wish to become certified will need to complete one or more SACA exams

Describe fluid systems and their key components, including pneumatic systems, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Describe mechanical power system components and define friction, resistance, and efficiency.
