ABOUT THE ROLEAs a CBRE HVAC Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining mechanical and electrical equipment for complex commercial HVAC systems by conducting proactive performance testing and ongoing scheduled maintenance.
This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function and is responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Install, repair, adjust, and maintain small electric or pneumatic control systems used for building. This includes heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems and equipment.
Conduct ongoing maintenance on building HVAC equipment to ensure proper operation of equipment and compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and work safety.
Troubleshoot equipment failures and determine best course of action for equipment modifications.
Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems while having a limited opportunity to exercise discretion.
Impact through clearly defined duties, methods, and tasks are described in detail.
Deliver own output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance.
WHAT YOU'LL NEEDApplicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
Basic HVAC experience preferred
Preventative maintenance and troubleshooting/repairs experience
BAS (Building Automation System) experience including pressure/temperature monitoring and adjustments

OTHER SKILLS and/or ABILITIES
Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs, and the ability to carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.Sophisticated math skills. Ability to calculate mildly complex figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
