Electrical Systems 1 is a 15-hour online course that introduces electrical systems as they are used in industry and advanced manufacturing.

Course Details

Learn about electrical circuits, electrical measurements, inductance, capacitance, combination circuits, and transformers. Learners who successfully complete this course will have done the coursework for a SACA micro-credential in electrical systems. All Unmudl Shorts are seamlessly integrated with SACA certification. Any learner who wishes to complete their certification will be guided through the process of taking the SACA exam.


Electrical Systems 1 uses learning materials and module assessments from Amatrol and other learning sources, such as video. The course is fully asynchronous (on demand) and remote (online) to allow learners to progress through the course at their own pace. A learner who works on the course for approximately 8 hours a week should be able to complete the course in 2 weeks. A learner who chooses to work intensely on the course will be able to complete it in two days.


This course will be assessed by a final quiz on each individual module. Learners will need to achieve 80% or higher on each final quiz to be successful and will have three attempts to pass each quiz.

Eligibility

There are no specific prerequisites for Electrical Systems 1 or for any Unmudl Short; however, learners should be familiar and comfortable with basic math, including operations, fractions, decimals, and percentages. Learners who would like to upgrade their math skills have the option of completing a 5-hour math add-on. Learners must have an adequate computer system and internet access for connecting to Talent LMS and Amatrol.
