Description

The Electrical Fast Track consists of four courses. UBCT-107 Basic Safety, Hand & Power Tools, Blueprint Reading and UBCT 105 Professionalism in Service, Construction Math, Basic Rigging are virtual courses, which means you will engage with your instructor during regularly scheduled class time in an online format.  On the start date of your course, login to your MyPima account and click "Access D2L" under QuickLinks.  UBCT 172 Electrical Systems is hybrid.  Students obtain basic knowledge in the online classroom then demonstrate skills each week in a 4 hour lab.

Course Fees are inclusive of text, laboratory materials and certification tests (NCCER Core Certification and Electrical I).

Concepts and procedures for building and construction electrical training. Includes safety, conduit bending, electrical theory, test equipment, National Electric Code, aceways, boxes, and fittings, print reading, and wiring applications.

Additional Attendance Information

Student complete online content learning, then 4 hours in the lab each week to demonstrate learning.  Basic Safety, Hand & Power Tools, Blueprint Reading is the first course offered online. Professionalism in Service, Construction Math is the second course online.  Critical Thinking is usually taken at the same time as Safety, this is also an online course. The core course, Electrical Systems is attended in the lab as an experiential course.
