Accelerator: Instrumentation and Control Technician for Power Plants is a 20-hour course that develops foundational skills in industrial instrumentation and process control. Learners will explore essential topics in instrumentation and control, including pressure and flow sensors, flow transmitters, control valves, controllers, on/off and closed-loop control systems, and PLC-based PID control. Learners will develop systematic troubleshooting and commissioning skills applicable to instrumentation and control systems used in power plant environments.
The course includes online content that learners complete independently and in-person hours to review, expand, and ask questions about this content. The course is assessed on each learning module. Learners must achieve a score of 80% or higher in each final module quiz, and learners will have a maximum of three attempts to pass each quiz.
