Description:

The Data Center Operations (DCO) team is responsible for deploying, maintaining, and troubleshooting the IT hardware used in Amazon's data centers.

Key job responsibilities
Server Repair - Troubleshooting hardware failures, identifying root causes, and repairing or replacing failing components

High Impact Event Response - Responding to network failures (e.g., link outages, rackdowns), and high-priority hardware repairs

Basic Qualifications:

- High school or equivalent diploma
- 1+ years of computer/server hardware troubleshooting or related IT experience
- Work a flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressure
- Knowledge of network design, protocols and Layer 1/2 troubleshooting

Amazon Reliability Maintenance Engineers (RMEs) prevent Operations downtime and play an integral role in ensuring our customers receive their orders on time. The team continuously develops and invents way to improve current processes, working with cutting edge technologies like robotics and the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). From installation of automated packaging systems to the repair of our distribution equipment, the RME team is constantly diving deep to innovate new ways to maintain our Fulfillment Centers. RMEs are known for speed, accuracy, and exceptional service. Our facilities deliver tens of thousands of products to hundreds of countries worldwide, every day. RMEs are the business partners that work tirelessly behind the scenes to make it all happen, drive continuous improvement, and maintain all of the Material Handling Equipment (MHE) to ensure our customers are met with the Amazon smile.
