The Opportunity: Sr. Data Center M&E Technician
We are seeking a talented and motivated CBRE Sr. Data Center M&E Technician to join our critical facilities team. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the continuous operation and reliability of vital building systems within state-of-the-art data centers. You'll have the chance to maintain cutting-edge infrastructure, troubleshoot complex issues, and contribute directly to the uptime of mission-critical operations.
What You'll Do:
- Focus on maintaining and troubleshooting critical building systems, such as HVAC, electrical, and fire/life safety, through daily inspections, preventative maintenance, and emergency response.
- Ensure safety, regulatory compliance, and system reliability.
- Assist with daily site inspections of all Mechanical & Engineering systems and technical equipment, including servicing and maintenance.
- Perform preventative maintenance in accordance with OEM recommendations and industry standards.
- Ensure the site's environmental conditions provide a safe work environment.
- Work with third-party vendors, ensuring compliance with company-developed processes, procedures, and all applicable laws and regulations.
- Alert management if subcontractor performance doesn't meet all requirements per the Master Service Agreement.
- Complete planned preventative maintenance (PM) and reactive maintenance on all equipment.
- Check Building Management System (BMS) for running and alarm conditions and respond to HVAC or Electrical-related client problems.
- Complete assigned work according to established processes and procedures.
- Follow all safety processes and requirements and ensure all regulatory requirements and quality standards are met.
- Conduct routine quality checks for comprehensive records.
- A technical background with a proven track record in maintaining and troubleshooting critical building systems.
- Journeyman/Electrician license or HVAC EPA 608 license is essential.
- Experience in mission-critical environments, particularly data centers, is crucial.
- Strong understanding of HVAC, electrical, and fire/life safety systems.
- Ability to perform daily inspections, preventative maintenance, and emergency response.
- Experience working with third-party vendors and ensuring compliance.
- Proficiency in checking BMS for alarm conditions and responding to issues.
- Excellent adherence to safety processes, regulatory requirements, and quality standards.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Relevant military experience will be considered.

What You'll Need:* High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.* Ability to work shifts that may include weekends and holidays* Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, andthe ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.* Ability to use existing procedures to solve standard problems.* Experience with analyzing information and standard practices to make judgments.* In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.* Organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset.* Intermediate math skills.
