General Maintenance Technician - JLL

What this job involves:

We are seeking a reliable General Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing facility team at HP Corvallis. This role is responsible for maintaining the facility's overall condition and performing a variety of repair and maintenance tasks to keep our operations running smoothly and safely. The ideal candidate will have solid carpentry, drywall, and plumbing skills along with general maintenance experience. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic manufacturing environment where your technical skills will directly contribute to maintaining a safe, functional, and well-maintained facility that supports our client's business objectives.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Perform general facility maintenance and repairs including drywall patching, carpentry work, plumbing repairs, painting, and minor electrical tasks
  • Install and repair drywall, patch walls and ceilings, and complete finishing work to maintain facility appearance
  • Complete basic carpentry projects such as door repairs, trim work, shelving installation, and minor structural repairs
  • Handle plumbing maintenance including repairing leaks, unclogging drains, replacing fixtures, and maintaining water supply systems
  • Respond to maintenance requests from staff and prioritize work based on urgency and operational needs
  • Conduct routine facility inspections and address issues proactively to prevent larger problems
  • Maintain building systems and equipment to ensure a safe, functional work environment

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years of general maintenance experience
  • Solid skills in drywall repair and basic carpentry
  • Working knowledge of plumbing systems, repairs, and fixture installation
  • Familiarity with hand tools and power tools
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on ladders
  • Flexible schedule to accommodate facility needs

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in manufacturing or industrial facilities
  • Trade skills in carpentry, plumbing, painting, or related areas
  • Basic knowledge of electrical and HVAC systems
  • Plumbing certification or license
  • EPA 608 Refrigerant license
  • OSHA training
  • Forklift certification
  • MEWP certification

Corvallis, Oregon (HP Corvallis)

Work Shift:

8:30 AM - 5:00 PM

Salary/Comp:

$45,700 - $52,000 annually

This position does not provide visa sponsorship. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
