Facilities Technician-Intern

On Site - Westborough, MA

Monday through Friday 7am till 3pm

About the role:

  • Performs general work and repair of buildings, systems, equipment, and grounds.
  • Uses trade and other skills such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, heating, cooling, plaster, drywall, flooring, and furniture assembly as needed.
  • Fix and repair buildings and installed systems such as plumbing, kitchen equipment, room configuration, signage, and walls.
  • Engage, lead, and supervise vendors to perform work as needed.
  • Performs routine building walks, inspects for compliance with client policies, document deficiencies, and corrects issues.
  • Use work order management and other systems to record and lead tasks.
  • Maintains lighting systems, cleaning fixtures and replacing bulbs and lamps.
  • Maintains grounds of facility or property performing such tasks as raking, sweeping, leaf blowing or snow removal.
  • Responds quickly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance as needed.
  • As needed in an emergency, when vendors are not used, or in extraordinary circumstances must be able to perform repairs and maintenance work within the proficiencies described above.
  • May take direction from others for special projects as instructed by the manager.
  • Available to respond after hours which may require on-site response to emergencies.
  • Based at one location but can support other sites in the state and other regions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Uses personal computer and / or PDA for work order system, email, ESS and training. Basic skills with Microsoft Office Outlook. Physical requirements include stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs / ladders and ability to lift / carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate's education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for this position is $18.50/hr and the maximum salary for this position is $20/hr. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
