- Responsible for scheduling foam production lines, straw lines, cutlery lines, and all other specialty product lines. May include extruder lines.
- Works closely with corporate planning and customer service to implement timely schedules within the plant.
- Plans production activities in such a way to maximize equipment utilization. Communicates plans and significant deviation from plans to department heads in order to adjust activities meet production and customer requirements.
- Works closely with production team members, supervisors, and managers to maximize priority lines; presence on production and warehouse floor; reviewing production lines to maintain customer commitments.
- Monitors order flow and works with sales to prioritize constrained capacities in order to most efficiently meet market demands.
- Works with corporate planning to maintain inventory levels such as to meet customer service goals.
- Coordinates the procurement of the following materials on an annualized basis; foam beads, plastic pellets, boxes and bags and other miscellaneous manufacturing raw materials.
- Procurement at the local level including such items as inks, machine & maintenance repair parts.
- Recommends purchasing policies and procedures within the limits of delegated authority and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Proposes and places purchase orders for raw materials based on current inventory and production schedules. Ensures adequate inventory of raw materials.
- Establishes and approves sources for repair and maintenance materials and supplies. Receives quotations and secures bids. Negotiates blanket orders for raw materials, supplies and service contracts.
- Coordinates and controls receipts and acknowledgements of materials, supplies and services with corporate Accounts Payable.
- Arranges for sale of scrap, obsolete or surplus materials.
- Regularly meets with key suppliers to review cost improvements, price trends, saving on freight costs.
- Oversees general administrative efforts such as proper filing of printed purchase documents, documentation with corporate and regular data transmissions.
- Champions various teams as deemed necessary
- Attends meetings as required.
- Maintains housekeeping standards by keeping a clean work area at all times.
- Adheres to all good manufacturing practices (GMP), food safety, HACCP and SQF process requirements; rectify and/or report any and all non-compliance to Management or the SQF practitioner immediately.
- Acts as secondary backup for the Production Manager(s) in their absence.
- Supports all current and new product demands.
- Works with all other departmental areas to maintain productivity and plant initiatives.
- Partners with STM leadership to ensure team collaboration including training methods that leads plant productivity. May participate in required audits.
- Follows WinCup Values, follows company procedures, GMP, and other related safety standards.
- Performs other duties as assigned by WinCup leadership as needed.
- Bachelor's Degree in a technical field desired.
- 10 years of previous supervisory and/or management experience in a fast paced manufacturing environment.
- Previous plastics or EPS, consumer products, or other high-speed production industry experience preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, problem solving skills, and demonstrated leadership skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of lean manufacturing concepts and methodologies a plus.
- Hands on management style with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Mechanical/technical aptitude.
- Proficient in MS Office.
- Must be able to speak, read and write English in order to complete job specific paperwork.
- Ability to work independently and function as a team member.
- Good planning and organizing skills.
- Ability to follow directives with leadership, managers, supervisors, ensuring productivity and target levels are sustained.
- Ensures all company policies and procedures including manufacturing and safety policies and procedures are followed at all times.
- Collaboration with plant and safety leadership.
- Ability to complete mandated new manufacturing training on equipment to maximize output efficiencies.
- Ability to prioritize, extract analytical data, present, and execute projects.
- Takes an active approach in proactively resolving complex issues in line scheduling.
- Supports all current and new product introductions.
- Flexible in work schedule when meeting operational efficiencies in a 24/7 work environment.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS (Manufacturing Plant):

- Team Member will be required to observe and assess information in a fast-paced environment.
- Requires frequent use of a production, manufacturing equipment and/or machinery.
- Will be required to frequently move/transport materials weighing up to 50 pounds, which may require frequent bending, twisting and reaching motions.
- Team Member may be required to remain stationary for extended periods.
- Team Member may be required to stand for long periods up to 8, 10 or 12 hours shifts.
- Team Member may be required to talk, walk, sit; use hands to finger, handle and feel objects, tools, and controls; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crawl or crouch.
- Team Member will be in a manufacturing environment that with heat or cold conditions.
- Team Member will be required to adhere to policy of Personal Protective Equipment- PPE and safety protocols.
WORK ENVIRONMENT (Manufacturing Plant):
The characteristics listed below are representative of the work environment typically encountered by an individual while performing the essential duties of a position in our manufacturing plants. Note that office positions located within our Manufacturing Plants often require some plant floor presence throughout the day so these work environment details may not always apply, they should still be noted.- Workspace is one that contains moving mechanical parts.
- Requires work in an indoor manufacturing environment that may be exposed to extreme heat that is not air-conditioned.
- Work environment contains loud noises and odors that may last for long periods of time or on a continual basis as well as occasional airborne particles.
- Must wear PPE while working, which includes hairnet, hearing protection and safety glasses with side guards at all times.
- Ability to work an 8+, 10+ or 12+ hour shifts as designated.
- Able to work weekdays, weekends and overtime as designated.
