- Communicates accordingly on quality issues, GMP, or any other quality defects as needed.
- Reviews daily operation plans with Supervisor and/or leadership to ensure that all required quality audits and changes to schedules are implemented.
- Participates in the training of existing and new team members on quality processes.
- Periodically will be required to have on-call availability.
- Verifies compliance of quality checks are completed and performs necessary quality standards reports.
- Assures proper paperwork and quality checks are completed including recordkeeping requirements.
- Assists and audits production lines in accordance with established Quality Control Procedures and documented quality test results.
- Informs the Safety & Quality Supervisor, Production Supervisor, and leadership of any quality defects in a timely manner.
- Maintains departmental records, orders supplies and prepares solution formulation for seeper testing.
- Responsible for informing the leadership team immediately of any failure to meet established quality standards to ensure that corrective action is taken.
- Records all activities of inspections and audits on proper forms and submit to supervisor or plant manager as required or at end of shift.
- Assists in internal and external SQF audits.
- Attends mandated pre-shift meetings and any other training sessions as required.
- Follow safety procedures when starting, shutting down, un-jamming or tying the tail on a bagger.
- Adheres to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), food safety, HACCP and SQF process requirements, and sanitation guidelines rectify and or report any and all non-compliance to leadership.
- Assists other team members outside of quality as required.
- Notifies leadership on needed repairs that are outside of their scope of responsibility or ability to rectify quality demands.
- Perform all work in a safe manner to include following specific procedures for lock-out/tag-out of equipment. Ensures Maintenance and/or leadership are aware of line issues.
- Communicate with Supervisors and leadership on the status of quality line failures.
- Maintain housekeeping standards by keeping a clean and safe work area at all times.
- Follow all GMP and sanitation guidelines along with maintaining a high level of personal hygiene.
- Attend meeting and training session as required.
- Follows WinCup OPERA Values, safety initiatives, and other related plant standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned by leadership, Safety & Quality Supervisor, Production Supervisor, and Operations Manager.
- Ability to follow directives with STM leadership, managers, supervisors, in ensuring productivity and target levels are sustained.
- Ensures all company policies and procedures including manufacturing and safety policies and procedures are followed at all times.
- Collaboration with plant, safety, and leadership.
- Ability to complete mandated new manufacturing training on equipment to maximize output efficiencies.
- Supports all current and new product introductions.
- High school diploma or GED.
- One to two years' experience in a Quality Control or Quality Analyst position. Manufacturing environment preferred.
- Must be able to speak, read and write English in order to complete job specific paperwork.
- Ability to work independently and function as a team member.
- Good planning and organizing skills.
- Work mandatory overtime, early morning, late evenings and weekends when required during busy season, inventory, and for vacation coverage.
- In-doors in a manufacturing and/or environment that is not air-conditioned.
- Exposure to extreme heat.
- Wear PPE while working which includes hairnet, hearing protection and safety glasses with side guards.
- May work 8 hour shift or 12 hour shift that begins at 6:50 a.m. for dayshift or a nightshift that begins 6:50 p.m.
- Required to work weekdays, weekends and overtime as needed.
- Subject to on-call activity to ensure equipment is functional.
- Work 8 or 12-hour shift while standing, walking, stooping, bending, reaching, grasping and lifting throughout the entire shift.
- Requires the manual movement of cases of finished goods and other objects such as bagger film that weight up to 40 pounds.
- 100% tobacco free workplace on all Company premises. Designated outside smoking area provided and must be followed.
