What will you do?
In this role, you will be involved in the machining or processing of metal and non-metallic parts by operating CNC Turning Machines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Setup and operate CNC Lathe machines to perform tasks such as turning, drilling, bar feeder, live tooling.
- Optimize set up times, maximize machine utilization
- Ability to run CNC vertical mills/robo drills
- Understand specifications of the tasks by reading blueprints, route instructions
- Experience in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Troubleshoot programs and make adjustments when needed
- Setup CNC lathe machines to complete full cycles to produce a high and low volume of parts, improve productivity, maintain offsets and inspect parts with a high degree of precision
- Follow in-process part inspection process, notify Supervisor/Lead on the occurrence of non-conformance.
- Communicate with superintends, managers, production control, quality personnel for assignments, and resolve quality issues.
- Document all issues written to ensure a smooth transition between shifts
- Check and perform preventive maintenance daily
