Google IT Certification

Five courses included prepare students for an entry level role in IT Support. Includes technical support fundamentals, computer networking, operating systems, system administration, infrastructure services, security and defenses against threats an attacks. This certification has wide application with employers that have an information technology department or technological capacity.

Upon successful completion of the course, the student will be able to:

10.  Navigate Windows and Linux file systems.

11.  Set up users, groups and permissions for account access.

12.  Install, configure and remove software.

13.  Configure disk partitions and file systems.

14.  Identify common infrastructure services.

15.  Manage infrastructure servers.

16.  Manage network computers and users using directory services, active directory and Open LDAP.

17.  Backup organization data and recover IT infrastructure.

18.  Recognize benefits and limitation of encryption algorithms and techniques.

19.  Describe authentication systems and types.

20.  Evaluate potential risks and recommend ways to reduce risk.
