Course Details

Get Moving with a CDL Class A Drivers License

The CDL Class A  training program is a four-week, 30 hour a week program designed to teach students how to safely operate a Class A commercial vehicle and obtain a Class A commercial driver’s license. Students will receive theory instruction to prepare them for the written exams at the MVD. Once you have received your permit, you will attend three weeks of  behind the wheel training with a CNM Ingenuity CDL instructor.

The Commercial Driving industry is a vital part of our nation’s economy. Their is a continual and growing demand for qualified drivers and you can earn more than $66,000 a year driving.

CNM Ingenuity is designated as a Workforce Innovation & Opportunity Act (WIOA) Eligible Training Provider (ETP) in the Central Region of New Mexico. This is an approved program, and WIOA funding is available to eligible individuals. Instruction is based on the Federal Motor Carriers Safety Administration requirements including

  • vehicle inspection
  • manual transmission
  • backing skills,
  • over the road driving.

We will assist you in obtaining your Commercial Learner’s Permit.

  • Medical card and to pass a drug test performed by a Certified Medical Examiner.
