We're looking for a Principal Electrical Engineer to spearhead electrical design for advanced manufacturing facilities infrastructure. This key role drives the development of next-generation facilities, delivering efficiently at Amazon's scale. If you excel in dynamic settings and relish tackling intricate challenges, here's your opportunity to define sustainable energy's future.

In this capacity, you'll serve as the principal electrical engineering leader, guiding design and engineering tasks that support infrastructure construction, from initial concept through to full production.

Key job responsibilities
-Build and lead the electrical team to execute all aspects of the electrical design

-Oversee the complete electrical design process, guiding concept evaluations and final decisions that result in fully developed construction drawings ready for permitting and construction.

-Own electrical engineering across the portfolio: distribution from utility interface to tools
Lead the design of comprehensive low voltage and medium voltage power distribution systems, including MV switchgear, substation design, MV/LV transformers, low voltage switchgear and switchboards, panelboards, VFD, busway distribution, and critical power pathways

-Interpret and implement NFPA-70, NEC standards for low and medium-voltage power system design and installation

-Address and resolve design changes during construction

-Collaborate with external Engineering, Procurement, and Construction firms throughout bid and project execution phases to verify that all designs and specifications align with our Engineering Standards. Lead and support both internal teams and third-party engineers to maintain project quality and compliance.
Proactively share project requirements, updates, and status with both internal and external teams to keep everyone aligned. Guide and develop junior engineers through hands-on mentorship and professional growth opportunities.

-Deliver comprehensive updates on design concepts and project progress during structured milestone reviews at the 30%, 60%, 90%, and IFC stages, engaging stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams to ensure strategic alignment and transparency.
Deliver quantity take-offs and cost estimates for projects within tight deadlines while applying core engineering principles and a comprehensive electrical engineering toolkit to solve complex technical challenges. This approach drives the creation of innovative, detailed designs for diverse electrical and process systems.

-Create comprehensive design packages including detailed basis of design documents, sequence of operations, and contract-ready construction drawings to guide accurate project execution and stakeholder alignment.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
