



Inventory Control C: planning, order methods
Description
A study of inventory control concepts and techniques. Course C in the Inventory Control series builds upon the forecasting and cost techniques learned in the first two courses. In this course students study inventory planning, securing and accuracy, and ordering methods. Courses A, B, and C in the Inventory Control Series includes cost concepts, determining size and nature of inventory, forecasting, and inventory planning and control. Also includes ordering methods, controlling pilferage, and matching customer demand with supply. NOTE: basic math skills for simple computation are used. Students completing Inventory Control A,B, C may apply for prior learning to earn 3 credits toward certification in logistics. Logistics Certificate requires completion of Inventory Control, Computerized Logistics, Warehouse Management, Transportation and Traffic Management, Purchasing.
Additional Attendance Information
Completion of the three Inventory Control courses can be applied for three College credits.
