Course Details

This fully online, self-paced Blackboard course provides students with the opportunity to get started in this dynamic career with the basic fundamentals of HTML/CSS coding.

After This Course, You Will Be Able To
Students will demonstrate the ability to code websites which include: menus, links, and images while incorporating strong design skills for color, font, layout and navigation. Students will also learn how to apply these skills within content management systems such as WordPress to customize existing websites. This micro-credential is part of a stackable sequence which must be taken in this order: HTML/CSS Intro; HTML/CSS Intermediate; HTML/CSS Advanced. Individuals seeking a micro-credential will need to apply, achieve at least a 75% on their project and at least 75% on an exam. SUNY Broome students completing all three badges may apply for Prior Learning Assessment credit for BIT 173 Website Creation with HTML/CSS.
